It has been 1 week since As passed.. I have been having loads, tons, whatever adjective to suggest massive amounts of fun that I have been having for the past week! Wanted to start this blog to record what I have been doing for this wonderful part of my life that will take place.. hmm.. Anyway, this is a first shot at blogging.. haha.. Since now really got quite alot of time to kill.. Let me try to recall what happened just exactly one week ago.. hmm.
-11-2004: Last day of exams, the day started of great.. later morning wake-up call.. slept very well, given the fact that I had to mug till the wee hours during the past week. Met Adriel to buy some games so I could play my beloved ps2. The RPGs were fantastic, worth every penny spent. But the same couldn't be said for the rest, Golden Axe and Capcom Fighting Generation were crap. Later after the paper went down to BBDC with guys in my class to register for drving lessons, though I can start learning.. but don't feel like yet.. havent had enough fun to continue going back to books and lessons. There is really nothing to describe the sense of freedom one feels from the release of books.. and I really enjoyed the day.
/27-11-2004: What a way to start post-As life.. absolutely fantastic. Played pool with Ivan, Desmond, Aaron, Pohsheng, Kok and his stead. Free anyway, really had qutie alot of fun. Finally can really start practising pool almost full time come this hols. Met choongyee after the session to help him change a game, and had lunch. After that 4 of them came over and we played winning 11 for a while before the controller went berserk and stopped responding. Anyway it was still lots of fun with LOTR Risk. Damn it Desmond beat me and destroyed my sinister orc troops before I could destroy his. Anyway I won him the last time, so guess its quits for the moment. They had dinner at my place then I took a rest for a while. Then came what I call chionging. Roger, Bobby and Jeremy came over and we were to play mahjong from 9pm to 11 the next morning. I havent been playing mahjong with my kakis for almost 6 months, and this was really what I needed to fill that emptiness I was feeling for months! Really shiok.. if people get the kick from running, swimming, eating, sleeping, reading, drinking or whatsoever, I get mine from mahjong! But quite a bad start, lost about 20 on mahjong day 1, but it was fun anyway. When the session ended, I was as good as the walking dead.. brain block, couldn't even tahan for breakfast. Ps, anyone interested in dieting can try my mahjong diet, I skipped breakfast and lunch the next day! But didn't sleep alot actually, woke up at 6 in the evening, only to find my parents playing mahjong against their friends at the same table I was playing the night before. I washed up and had a good dinner, and before I knew it, my mum went out and had me to play in her place. What happened later needs to be recorded as the luckiest thing that ever happened to me in a long long long long long long time. I actually did a 13-yao! Well, for those out there who have no idea what this is, just think of it as striking first prize in 4D, or worse winning ToTo. Hahaha.. really shiok.. how lucky I must have been to pull off that winning combination, suddenly I felt like I totally mastered mahjong and the winning justified my feelings! Haha.. and thanks to that, my mum won quite alot. So she gave me some money for a reward, well quite alot. Haha.. I slept smiling the whole night, couldn't believe how lucky i really was man.
-11-2004: Having that much fun for the last 2 days, I really needed a good rest on sunday. Though sundays aren't really supposed to be spent at home, at least I think so.. I still had a good time. First of all, I got to really clear all the piles and tons of notes and papers I have from the exams, really quite shocking to see how much paper one has to waste to get a more refined, detailed piece that 'declares' one's qualifications.. damn it what has this world become.. but it ain't my problem for now, at least for these 3 months. Having done that, I just spent time going around the house.. walking to the third storey to enjoy a moment of coziness while reading the match report of manu's 3-0 thumping over West Brom. Later in the afternoon, I spent quite some time with my dog in the house.. having a dog is really fun, especially when it is in the mood to play with you.. haven't spent some quality time with it.. so was really happy to have done that. Just continued to laze around and slack at the comforts of my home and turned in quite early.. ahhh this is life for me.. relaxing.. and best of all.. no worries wadsoever. Shiok.
-11-2004: Mahjong! Haha.. first thing on my agenda of the actual first week of the holidays!! Played Megaman X Command Missions in the morning, man this game is super addictive.. really very fun.. I even had to let my kakis wait for me while I tried to proceed as far as I could in the game. Perhaps the game was too distracting that I was still thinking of it during mahjong, and I continue to lose! This is a bad streak I am having currently.. and what a time to come man.. after exams when I should be winning to fuel my lots of wanna-buys. Anyway couple of bucks.. still can afford.. just hope my losing streak will turn soon and get back to winning. The mahjong took off my whole day.. but again.. since I get the kick from my mahjong tiles.. the time I spend on it always gives me total satisfaction come rain or shine, win or lose. Losing a bit won't spoil my day.. looking forward to more sessions!
/31-11-2004: Having played alot for the past few days, I really started becoming sluggish le. Luckily my mum needed help at her stall, and since I am keen to takeover the business, must train the ropes lah. Well and for a start I was helping my mum churn out the dishes that she needs to put on sale. Man this is more tiring than it seems. Stirring, mixing, frying all those food in the big wok may seem easy, but when u have it hands-on, its just otherwise. Though I have done this before, it wasnt really easy when I got back to it initially. But after a while, got the hang of things and yeah.. pretty all right. Cooking is still all right for me, having being born into a family of cooks, I ought to learn and master cooking. Haha.. sounds funny.. but cooking is fun.
