woots

Hurraf, my blog still exists and I still remember my log-in! Woots. Life has been very much bad since the last update, but has got increasingly better since late March. Why did I suddenly want to blog again? Oh well yesterday was fantastic, a day to remember really.

Its one of the big matches of the season, Manchester United VS Arsenal. A record 70,000 crowd complements the magnitude of such a match. Of course, ManU came into the game on 8 successive league wins, and have reduced the lead Chelsea had on the title race to just 7 points. Its a must win for ManU, and West Ham were good enough not to protect a 1 goal, 1-extra-man advantage to lose 4-1 to Chelsea. Kudos to them. Anyway, no matter what, ManU still had to do work on their part to ensure Chelsea are still in sight, and boy, it was a match to remember. From the kelong, stand-in keeper antics of the much-solid Toure, to the endless play of quick passing football of both teams, the first half was only an appetiser of what's to come. Henry's absence in the first half could well have deprived Arsenal's hopes of a lead, but he didnt really play very well even as he came on later in the game. Van Nistelrooy and Saha too weren't as fantastic as they were against Bolton, but in this game we saw solid performances from the backline Ferdinand and Vidic, who made crucial challenges to hugely curb Arsenal's attack, and it was Vidic's brave challenge to win the ball which resulted in Rooney's wonder strike. Park was good too, played quite a few nice one-twos, and was always dangerous, deserved to score a goal with good play with Rooney. And of course there was Rooney, who you could pretty much say destroyed Arsenal once again. One goal and one assist, need say more?

It was a great day for ManU fans alike, totally memorable a match. And now I can't wait for ManU to visit Chelsea. Till then, may all like-minded peeps backing the Red Devils hope for the best. ManU GOGOGO!
