Since we had to shop for food, I spent the morning going round markets to search for crabs. Settled for some decent 1/2kg crabs from Giant, and I also went buying french loafs for the curry I was cooking. Spent the good early afternoon cooking my braised pork and curry chicken, which belated birthday girl Geraldine got to try as well. Haha.
Some pictures of my curry chicken..

This was what I cooked for my sisters for dinner, while I used drumsticks for the dinner at LTC Luke's place, as they do prefer the latter (like everyone else does)
I have no time to take the pictures of the braised pork, the kitchen was already in chaos, having to prepare quite alot of food.
Meanwhile, at boss's place... Dennis was busy whipping up delicious western cuisine. On the menu were seafood spaghetti..

Pot-ful of goodness in the form of mussels, clams, prawns, squid, spaghetti sauce with a good touch of dry wine for good measure.
And there was super crispy baked chicken that had been marinated with a mix of herbs and spices. This dish was superb lah.

There were many other dishes, like striploin beef in brown sauce, bread and cheese wrapped in bacon, sourcream mashed potato, and of course chilli crabs. Everybody were busy eating..

Well it was a nice gathering, which was also held in conjunction with Calvin (who unfortunately wasn't able to join us), Guofeng and James having successfully converted back to civilians, as well as MAJ David's taking over as CO 42 SAR.
Personally, I really enjoy these gatherings, not because of the time we get to leave office early, or because of the good food we eat in every single gathering, but everybody actually spending some quality time enjoying ourselves instead of the hectic mode everyone (at least the regulars) during office hours. NS hasn't been all that smooth-sailing, but I'm glad to have had such an excellent working environment with these really wonderful individuals who really made my stint alot more enjoyful.
Haha, the next time we have such a gathering, I hope it'll be just nice to celebrate my CCC! Signing off with an ultra adorable picture of MAJ David's daughter, Charis. Cute!
