KL

Just came back from Malaysia, visited KL and its outskirts, as well as Kukup for a one-night stay on the kelongs. Not bad, cheap and fun.

It was a first time exploring KL for me, and I didn't actually realise that KL is so big! My dad has got friends who stay in different parts of KL, and it can take up to 1 hour travelling between their homes. I think the cars I sat in became makeshift beds for me to nap in between. The busier areas are made of traffic jams that can get you stuck for like 2 hours, and that's very boring, time-wasting. Things you don't get to see here, for instance, 大排挡, its like roadside hawkers, where you literally almost sit in the path of on-coming traffic and have your food. Of course, if we have our health and hygiene inspectors over there to do their job, I think they'll have to OT everyday, and many hawkers will go for month-long holidays. Well, I've a stomach for everything, ok almost everything, so it didn't really matter if the food wasn't that clean. The pork is nice! Bak Ku Teh there owns. And I love eating under shop houses with nice decorations. Lol.

Stayed at Traders hotel, which faces KL's Petronas Towers, quite nice and comfortable. The hotel offers excellent service and everything was fantastic! To the extent that I didn't want to leave the room, just contented to the National Geographic Channel and the King Size bed in the room. Haha.

A view of what I see from the room. The yellow building you see below the towers is the KLCC, a big shopping mall which houses alot of brands you can find in Singapore too, nothing too special. BUT of course there was something that caught my eye which i have to mention.

As I took the escalator down deciding what I was going to have for lunch...

Another of my top 5 favourite drinks. The legendary (ok that's abit drama) Root beer float. A generous scoop of vanilla ice-cream on top of a big mug of ice-cold root beer. If you don't know where you are, this drink should give you the answer.

Of course, as I was busy drinking.. the Conney Dog started feeling left out, and I had to pay it some attention.

The meat sauce with alot of onions is superb! A very nice meal which made me a very happy person. Its things like this you cannot find here which make it all the more nicer when you get a chance to savour it.

The Kukup trip was also not too bad. A refreshing change from city life to something more relaxing. While the fishy breeze was something that took a little while to get used to, the evening sunset was rather enticing, and I couldn't recall the last time I actually stood for a good 20 minutes in a position to enjoy the evening sky.

Ahh, trips like this make you rejuvenated, ready for new things in life that await. Okay, I'm too tired to post on other interesting things that happened in my trip. Next time. ZZzzzZ
