Mr Wu no more.. for now at least

10 weeks passed in the blink of an eye, or so I felt. Didn't really accomplish alot of things, though I had a clearer feel of the other responsibilities of the teacher out of class. I just don't think I'll be committing myself to a 4 year stint with MOE, with a much bigger world out there which I have yet to explore. While its true that the school, teachers and students have been fantastic, there are too many unknowns at this point in time to come to a hasty decision of literally signing my life on a dotted line. I really don't wish to regret a decision of 'not having tried something else' later on in life.

That being said, I think it was a privilege to have both studied and worked in BPGHS. As a student the teachers were fantastic at imparting knowledge, the friends I made have by far been the closest bunch who I still meet week in week out, not to mention the wonderful memories, good or bad that any student will be able to relate to.
As a teacher, the same teachers who taught me the lessons in class taught me a thing or two about managing a class, the career options I face at this point in life, and their honest opinions of how teaching as a career is like. A few words of thanks are not enough to express the gratitude I feel, and it will serve as a good checklist for myself to evaluate the possibility of being a teacher in the future.

Well, the two stints as Mr Wu have given me a preview of how things work should I join the civil service, (it wouldn't be too different in other ministries I believe). The students I've taught, the things I've learnt, like handling students have made me feel like a better communicator as well. I wish the school, the teachers and the students all the best, and may BPGHS continue to strive to greater heights in all aspects. It will.

Well, on a more depressing note, school as a year two student will commence soon. I've got around 9 more days to meet friends, play more games and eat more good food. I'll enjoy myself as much as possible. I'll begin with a good sleep tonight. =D
