These few days have been crazy! Gosh I thought having no school was fun, but the things I have been doing in place of going to school are anything but relaxing!
I spent thursday trying to figure how to transfer the money needed to pay for my accommodation, queuing at the bank was madness!
Friday was spent going down to OG at Bugis, where I bought some stuff like my luggage and some winter wear.
The set of luggage that will travel with me for the next 6 months.
Some pieces of really expensive clothing to make sure I don't turn into ice in this chilling winter I am about to experience. Speaking of which, the fleece that you see in this picture is more commonly referred to as Long John; don't know why the name but fleece really sounds like some magical item in games. Read: Grants target 70% resistance to ice/cold. lol. this is the initial round of damage, i still need quite alot of things like better wool socks and perhaps a thicker pair of shoes!
I also spent the rest of the friday maintaining the now very nice looking tank!
Just look at how much my tank has evolved!
I guess keeping a fish tank can be likened to how parents look at their kids grow up. When it grows nicely, you really get that great sense of satisfaction!
Moving on to saturday, I met up with the rest of the Amsterdam gang to get our travel insurance as well as the air tickets. Since we were potentially going to get cheaper tickets, we only confirmed and not make full payment for the air tickets, but that also means having to go down again on tuesday! =/
Also met Pheng who is now pretty much without the many Singaporean friends he made since almost all of us are overseas! Wanteng also joined later and she's already flying off later today! The next time we meet up it will be in Europe! Cool lah!
Dinner with Kevin and Farhan followed, great company with great secondary school pals, and the whole of saturday felt like it zoomed past!
Today I spent the whole day outside as well! Started the day recce-ing the potential FOC 09 campsite with Kai, Damien and one of the programmers Liwei. Pretty fruitful but at the same time quite alot of things have to change considering the circumstances. Then again, SIC I shall not say too much. Met geraldine for a nice and early dinner at Thai Express at the new JP extension, and the desert shop 记得吃 served the nicest mango juice with pamelo flesh (more affectionately known as 杨支柑露) I've eaten in quite a long while! After that we went over to the library opposite JP, since she wanted to borrow some books, but ended up I got myself started on the tour guides that I found in the library. I haven't borrowed library books since secondary school days, so I appeared like a total noob when I went to get my NRIC verified at the library counter. Hahaha. These were what I got.
Hahaha.
Well, tomorrow shall be spent going to the bank to settle the accommodation fees, as well as getting a credit card to help with my travelling in Europe. Tuesday will be spent going to get the air tickets, and possibly alot of other things that I will need for my trip! 15 days seem so near! Okay I shall finish the exciting ManU vs Chelsea match and go sleep! GO MANU!!
