the long road ahead... or at least the road leading to 2011

Exams have ended and it is by no means a good ending. Didn't help that the paper was difficult, and that I've spent the last 5 days trying to digest all there is to the module. I let out a sigh when I saw some of the most unexpected questions appear as everyone else began writing, and it was that moment I realized that one cannot possibly be lucky all the time, trying to spot questions, or conveniently ignore what you think will not be tested. I've rode my luck all the way into year 3 sem 2, and I guess its time some of that luck wore off. Yes, I have never been all that diligent all along to study everything that comes into my path, and its always an intuitive kind of thing. Perhaps its time the habit caught up. The chances of doing well this semester are about as likely as ManU winning the title this season. It's out of me now and I'll have to depend very much on how kind the bell curve is going to treat me.

Perhaps, what felt like the longest semester, registering and clearing (hopefully I don't takeaway any modules) 26AUs, HSS stuff and what have you, it's really made me feel doubly happy that everything has ended. The moment I walked out of the last paper, there was this great sense of achievement (never mind the outcome of the paper) that I've been through it all for the past 5 months. Certainly the most definitive semester in my time at NTU.

Went to NTU Staff Club for the first time in 3 years here in the university and WOW, that place is awesome! Elegantly furnished with very cheap beer/liqueurs and delicious finger food, it is going to my favourite hangout place in my final semester man. I will definitely bring more friends over there and introduce them to the heaven that seems so oblivious to the rest of the student population. It was also sorta like the final gathering among the group of us, some half of them graduating after next semester, and the next time we meet again in school is only probably going to be during the actual convocation itself.

In other news, I'm starting work next week, leaving me with just this weekend and the first 3 days of the week to play. Pay isn't too bad and I can keep myself meaningfully occupied while waiting for the China trip. The big highlight is of course TIOMAN. YES ITS COMING.

To say I'm in high spirits is an understatement. I feel so alive right now. Here's to another fun filled holidays, and bidding books and exams farewell till 2011. Till next time!
