Of peace, tranquility and bad habits

Yes another week has passed and its 4 weeks of school gone!

I really wonder how will quizzes and exams be like in the uni. Frankly speaking the timetable is indeed quite slack, and everything's still QUITE manageable (ok understatement here..)

Having spent 3 weekends in hall studying, it feels really good to be studying effectively. However, I think a break is needed as well, which explains why I'm in the comforts of my own home for these 3 days. As comfortable as the hall can be, there's just this indescribable joy of merely stepping into the home. 皇帝窝不如狗窝好, how true.

Apart from the mundane things of going to lectures and tutorials, giving tuition, and doing homework, there's quite alot of things I have done which are fun but certainly not very healthy, for the body and the wallet. These include going for multiple lunches and dinners with different friends in one day, I lost count the times I ate 2 lunches and 2 dinners. Surprisingly my body resets itself after a meal, such that I can go into a second lunch thinking that I haven't eaten anything before. Hohoho I wish my metabolism stays as it is for now. There are also late night suppers (something like bakchok mee or rotiprata at 12am), or small talks till 3~4am. Bad habits which have previously been thought to have left me are coming back now! Let's just hope it won't have too much of an adverse effect on me in the long run.

One of the more enjoyable things that happened this weekend was also the pool training I had yesterday. For the first time since I began playing pool, I'm finally learning the correct things that I've been doing wrongly all the while. Really looking forward to more practice and becoming better!

On the other hand, one of the sadder things that has happened is as much as I wish to get a 24" LCD to put in my hall room, I cannot find the reasons to justify such a purchase. As such, I shall be happy with my 12.1" laptop first, should the chance present itself for an upgrade, I shall not hesitate!

Oh well, should try catching more sleep, the weather is just perfect to have a good 3 hour sleep. Next time!
