the mum and maid are both coming over next month, and since the chinese celebrate mid autumn with a 3 day holiday, it coincides nicely with my mum coming over and i'll be booking air tickets to mongolia! heh it's always sounded exotic and interesting, with all the normads, grasslands and the gobi desert. and there are also another 5 or possibly more friends going too, so it promises to be quite alot of fun! now i'll just have to wait for my mum to confirm her air tickets here before i proceed with the booking.
and then, in the following week, it will be another 1 week of holiday as China celebrates its national day, or rather national week. was supposedly planning to go to beijing, but as i read more about tibet and a 50 hour ride on board the qinghai-tibet rail, its beginning to sound like something out of the ordinary, something i'll possibly only do it once in a lifetime. i mean, 50 hours for a train?? hahaha but that's more difficult to plan, partly due to a possibly much inflated price tag thanks to the holiday season too. shall wait and see, if not it will be beijing, which sounds good too.
ahhh i'm very excited about my mum and maid coming over, for there is much to show them of how i've been managing very well, abeit a boring life here in shanghai. of which i shall be very inclined to showing my mum my first attempts at replicating her famous dish of 卤肉 which she taught me how to cook over the phone. heh.
all right, another week beckons and i'm looking forward to an exciting september! hahaha
