come and go

3 weeks into school, starting to feel the slack kick in. Although this sem is really theoretically lighter in terms of workload, i know i shouldn't be here slacking. Then again, feels good to just drop thoughts of what's been happening.

Been quite close with a new bunch of friends I've made, really the kind that click and crack the same style of cold jokes, great company. But that also means I hang out less with the friends who were in my group last sem. It sound childish, but doesnt feel good to mix with new friends and kinda distance away from old company. How good it would be if everyone mixed together? Then again, some friends can be like oil and water, immiscible, can't be helped.

Friends around me also have different fortunes, some are really doing well, like one who managed to clinch his contract with SAF, as much as some dread to become government minions (how my SSG used to put it), there are really individuals out there born to do these kind of jobs. The returns are really attractive, for all I know I might go sign up as a teacher with NIE soon also. Mustn't speak too soon. Well some others are not doing so well with their work, but I think they, being strong-minded individuals, will definitely see through this rough patch.

Well another thing which has made me feel quite uneasy is how some friends who appear so cheerful and happy in person are being tormented by such miserable thoughts or past. Life is really not that complicated and difficult to be bothered by some trivialities or things that you should spend so much effort brooding over. They might never get to read this, but I hope they will treat life with more optimism, break out of whatever misery they are in.

Hmmm, yeah, guess its really good to reflect upon myself every now and then. Heh, really wondered what happened to the original plan of blogging all about food. Okay, I will really blog about the yummy stuff I've been feasting on these days soon. They will make anybody's day anytime. Till then.
