Its official. The term 'Holidays' have taken a whole new meaning to me since 24th April 2008. Gone were holidays in primary/secondary/jc which were a pathetic 4 or maximum 6 week break and you had to spend your time on holiday homework, cca or what have you. (Okay intervals like time after Os or As are not applicable as they don't really qualify as holiday, its a timeframe where you anxiously anticipate the direction of your educational journey). Well I did bring it upon myself to choose working, but well I haven't regretted it since it brings in some dough, getting to do something I enjoy and prevent myself from indulging too much.
I don't know why, but its just that these 2 weeks really made me feel so rejuvenated. Nothing beats excellent mahjong company with good pals, winning quite a bit is a pleasant bonus. Hanging out with different friends for makan makes up for another good activity I really enjoy. All the catching up and stuff, feels good to be sociable! While afternoons are spent helping my mum at her stall, I feel that my interest in cooking hasn't dwindled, still coming out with new recipes including roast pork/duck/chicken! Hongkong cuisine has its impacts felt!
Other point-worthy things which I have achieved or currently pursuing include - Making over of the fish tank, buying and playing more lego, as well as going for some form of real exercise in swimming.
I realised I haven't talked about my HK/Macau trip last month. Yea some (or should I say many) pictures will do the talking.
If my limited vocab had its way, its really just fun, fun, fun, fun for everything that happened in the pictures and out of it. Giving David Blaine's levitation tricks a run for his money without photoshop, expressing each person's Hero ability aka 1) Converse in canto-mandarin-english mix 2) Superb photoshooting skills 3) Human GPS and finding the places to go 4) Chick magnet with a 'club DFS' line.... I could go on and on! Seeing King again and the overdose of ice-cream soda are among other things that make me feel like I'll never get sick of Hongkong! If I don't get my overseas exchange in the states or in england next year, I'd be happy to be back in hk!
Its 7 in the morning now, and thanks to my bad habits of overnight mahjong from the past week, on top of Euro kickoffs in the earliest of hours, I find my body clock adjusted to waking up at 4pm in the afternoon and turning in only at 6am. This better change before I head back to work! Wow, pretty long post but yeah that's an update for now! Till the next time when I come back with more adventures!
